Stainless steel flat bar can be composed of various stress-bearing components according to different needs of the structure, and can also be used as a connection between components. It is widely used in various building structures and engineering structures, such as building beams, bridges, power transmission towers, lifting and transporting machinery, ships, industrial furnaces, reaction towers, container racks and warehouse shelves.
Stainless steel flat steel is used as bridges, house frames, fences, power transmission ships, vehicles, etc. in construction projects. The raw material billets for the production of stainless steel flat steels are low-carbon square steel billets, and the finished stainless steel flat bars are delivered in a hot-rolled, cold-rolled or hot-rolled state. During the transaction, the side width and side thickness dimensions of the stainless steel flat steel should be fully filled in the contract and other documents, as well as the main other process items, such as annealing and solid solution.
Types and specifications of Stainless Steel Flat Bar:
It is mainly divided into two types: equal side and unequal side. Among them, the equal side can be divided into square steel. The specifications are expressed by the size of side length and side thickness. The current domestic specifications are 3mm*20m-150mm.
Import and export orders are generally based on the specifications required in use, and the steel grade is the corresponding carbon steel grade. That is, apart from the specification number, there is no specific composition and performance series.
The delivery length of stainless steel flat bar is divided into two types: fixed length and double length. The selection range of domestic fixed length is 3-9m and 4-12m according to the different specifications. The length selection range of Japan is 6-15m.
The surface quality of stainless steel flat steel is stipulated in the standard. Generally, it is required that there should be no harmful defects in use, such as delamination, scarring, and cracks.
The allowable range of geometric shape deviation is also stipulated in the standard, which generally includes items such as curvature, side width, side thickness, vertex angle, theoretical weight, etc., and is stipulated to have significant torsion

Stainless Steel Flat bar, is the most economical stainless flat shape that’s ideal for all applications where strength and superior corrosion resistance is required. 304 Stainless Flat has a durable dull, grainy mill finish and is widely used for all types of fabrication projects that are exposed to the elements. Stainless Flats 1/2″ thickness and under are sheared and edged, thicker sizes are a true bar. True bar is available on request for thinner sizes. Notice: 1/16″ strip flats are sheared from sheet and may have some curvature or twist.
